We moved Wes into his toddler bed tonight. It’s hard to believe he us gonna be 2 years old next Sunday!

Wes playing in the sandbox and looking thru HIS pair of binoculars!

Sometimes a change in perspective makes a huge difference in what you see… I was bent down talking to my son when I noticed this whole display of peaches reflected in the bottom of a scale. To bad the peaches were rock hard and not as good as they looked!

Finally am back regularly silversmithing again and Leah is making out like a bandit!   She recently was given these two projects as a reward for having to watch the kiddo by herself for an extra few hours every week! The first project is a simple silver pendant with a silver wire overlay.   The second project is a silver spring bracelet (called that due to the nature of the bracelet being formed like a spring and using the spring pressure to keep it closed) with a opal inlay.

We had a wonderful morning down in the Old Market, with a trip to the Farmers Market, brunch at Wheatfields, and a nice partly sunny day! Yummy yummy pink grapefruit mimosa’s were enjoyed at Wheatfields!

We love heading down to the Farmers Market so we can get a nice morning out and a chance to get some great local produce. Fresh veggies and greens make for some great dinners during the week. This week we found fresh butter crunch and romaine lettuce, fresh green onions and some awesome local honey. You also can’t beat the fresh baked cinammon rolls from the Parthenon. Great stuff!

A interesting note about the local honey; We started giving Wes some honey every day to try to help with his allergies. He had been having some seriously bad allergies with all the plants coming into bloom right at the same time this spring. Once we started giving him honey, his runny noses started to get better. It’s probably a total coincidence

Wes loves to help us out in our garden…

Amazingly enough he managed to stay dry!

Wes got his third haircut today! His hair had finally reached the shaggy stage, and while he looked quite the dashing, he needed a trim.

He was very good, and let Mommy snip away!

We had spaghetti for lunch the other day and Wes sure enjoyed his!

He has started to use his fork and spoon really well too!

I saw this interesting reflection in the foam of my dark Irish stout while out celebrating Leah’s birthday. Upstream seasonal dark beer was very tasty!

Oh and the birthday party was fun too!

Had a very busy day today, lots of errands to run, two lawns to mow and a small human to keep entertained. Wes found the riding lawnmower section at the home impovement superextravaganzamart and totally had to ride them. Amazingly enough, he grabbed a hold of the steering wheel and knew what to do with out any help from Leah or me! I guess he really has been paying attention while I drive!

We ended taking way to long with our errands and had to get a snack so we could finish them up… Wes totally digs a sonic strawberry shake, but the power of the car eventually over came him.

We had to mow the lawns of our two houses, and of course Wes had to help… My lawn mower isn’t as cool as a lawn tractor, but it has wheels and a motor so it still facinates Wes none the less!

Finally after having way to much fun helping mow the lawn, Wes crashed and ended up sleeping in his new pop up tent. We decided to use this as his new travel bed rather than a pack and play. Lighter and much easier to pack!
